Camp Good Days

Gary Mervis founded Camp Good Days in 1979 to provide a summer camp experience for children with cancer, starting with his daughter, Teddi Mervis. The camp was founded because Gary realized the loneliness Teddi experienced while dealing with her cancer diagnosis was causing her significant pain. He wanted to create a place where children with cancer could have fun, be kids, and be with others who understood what they were going through, all free of charge. Camp Good Days & Special Times offers weeklong summer camping sessions, weekend adult retreats, and year-round programs for children, families, and adults impacted by cancer or sickle cell anemia. All programs are provided free of charge.
